Corona Renderer 6 – Hotfix 1 for 3ds Max 2014-2021 [WiN x64]

By | June 17, 2022

Release Year/Date : August 31, 2020
Version : 6 Build Build Hotfix 1
Developer : Chaos Group
Developer Site : corona-renderer.com
Bit depth : 64bit
Interface language : English
Tabletka : present (trial reset)
System requirements : hardware requirements: For Corona Renderer 2 and newer you will need a processor that supports SSE4. 1 instruction set (any processor in the last 10 years). Here is a list of compatible processors.
To use our optional Denoiser Quick Preview (NVIDIA OptiX), you need an NVIDIA GPU with Maxwell or a newer architecture and the latest GPU driver. Not all mobile GPUs are supported.
software requirements
3DS MAX VERSION:
Autodesk 3ds Max x64 version 2014-2021
Microsoft Windows 64-bit (7, 8, 8.1, 10)
Requires administrator privileges to install
Distributed rendering also requires Autodesk Backburner, available free of charge from Autodesk
Note: This type of denoiser is optional , and Corona Renderer will work fine even if it’s not installed (for example, if you’re using AMD or an integrated GPU). We also offer a high quality denoiser that uses only the CPU and this denoiser can be used on any computer that can run Corona Renderer.
There are no other specific hardware requirements.
Note:
Corona Renderer officially supports 3ds Max 2018-2021.
Corona Renderer will also install and run under 3ds Max 2014-2017
and should work as expected; however, support for these versions
is unofficial as we cannot test Corona Renderer under versions
prior to 3ds Max 2018 due to Autodesk licensing restrictions.

Description: Corona Renderer – in front of you is an excellent and already gaining popularity tool for rendering in 3ds Max. The plugin can compete with other well-known giants such as V-ray and MentalRay. If you are using 3ds Max versions from 2013 to 2021, you will be able to use this software.
-The new sky model has a better overall shade for daytime lighting, but most importantly supports the sun below the horizon (only -2.85 degrees, or roughly 5.4 solar diameters) for dawn/dusk.
-Randomized tiles in UvwRandomizer avoid the “repetitive pattern” that even seamless textures have
-New adaptive environment sampler eliminates the need for portals, saving you the time (and pain!) of setting them up while giving more accurate results
-New lens effects give you significantly more control over blooms and highlights
-Updated material library with 78 new materials
-New masking capabilities that work in reflections and refractions give you more control in post
-Phoenix FD foam support so you can take full advantage of Phoenix FD water modeling

Add. Info : BUGSHOOTING
Caustics
A fix has been introduced for caustics that become blurry around the edge of the screen
A checkbox has been added to the Caustics solver settings under Development/Experimental Materials that can turn off adaptiveness in caustics – this should only be used in cases where caustics give unexpected results , such as black squares in the caustics element, or other render elements such as LightMix, as this will significantly degrade performance.
Corona Scatter
Fixed an issue when creating a Corona Scatter in 3ds Max 2016 (and possibly earlier) when the Corona license is not active
Fixed corona scatter so that it no longer recalculates the scatter when changing materials in the original model objects (previously this could cause freezing in some rare cases)
Fixed density map slot in the corona scatter, which can be estimated slightly differently in each run
Fixed viewport not updating when changing time on the timeline in some cases
Fixed scattered instances not displaying correctly in some cases in the viewport
Fixed rare cases of different scatter results between master and node in DR environment
Fixed sometimes incorrect scale map evaluation when switching to Object XYZ or World XYZ mapping (legacy scenes remain unaffected unless the legacy switch is disabled)
Fixed handling of LightMix and exclude lists for scattered instances when exporting for offline mode
Corona Toolbar
Fixed bug when resetting the panel Corona toolbar after uninstalling it in 3ds Max 2018 and later
Fixed a possible error caused by the Corona toolbar on fresh Corona installations during shutdown of 3ds Max
The toolbar now shrinks properly (both horizontally and vertically) when some of its button is removed via context menu
Fixed Corona toolbar right click context menu Removing incorrect
Corona Multimap button
Fixed incorrect result when blending two maps with frequencies non-default
Fixed behavior in cases where all slots have frequencies equal to 0. Now in such cases all slots are selected equally randomly
Corona Proxies
Fixed problems loading geometry with normals (0,0,0) in Crown Proxies
Fixed a bug when selecting geometry from a scene Crash fixes Fixed a crash on
VolumeGrid
when assigning a control map
Fixed a bug when resetting the scene while a docked IR port was running
Fixing a layered material crash with an empty beam dispenser
Fixed a rare bug in IR when deleting a Light Select render element
Fixed bug when closing VFB when IR was started
Fixed bug when disabling Corona Sun
Fixed bug when using bitmap with corona volume material in “internal volume” mode
Fixed proxy crash when rendering
Fixed DR crash when enabling mr_prim (Mental Ray) for native hair and fur
Fixed bug when saving crown scatter scene switched to point cloud display mode
Fixed freezing when loading some crown scatter scenes
Fixed bug in some cases, when motion blur is used with mesh topology change (note that motion blur will still not work with mesh topology change, it just won’t crash anymore)
Fixed bug when exporting more than 40 million triangles in Corona Standalone
Fixed an occasional error during parsing when the scene contains a composite mesher
Fixed an occasional crash with the ColorCorrect curve editor in linear interpolation mode
General Fixes
Fixed rendering differences on different processors (mainly Intel vs AMD)
Fixed adaptability when parts of the scene are excluded ( via render selection, etc.)
Material Library fixes:
– fixed “wrong gamma normals” warning in dirty concrete slab material – fixed
missing impact map in gypsum materials
Fixed textures blended with Corona Mix not rendering in Phoenix FD offset
Fixed vector offset not working correctly when a specific UV channel was not specified
Fall map in distance blend mode in 3ds Max now renders in Corona the same as in scanline
renderer -for which the light mix/post-processing settings in VFB didn’t take a value if the mouse was outside the VFB window
Correction of repeated suns every time during IR – should be done now only when some sun has changed
Fixed “update to” dialog 2.5 D displacement”, which reduces the screen size of the displacement modifier instance by several times
Fixed CoronaLightMtl using wrong UV coordinates in some specific cases
Fixed randomized material assignment in RailClone
Fixed appearance of 3ds Max assertions during scene loading
Fixed variance disabled for low GI/AA values
Fixed outdated error reporting link in Corona converter
Fixed UHD cache causing to different results when using 3ds Max render regions
Fixed NaNs being created when rendering after LightMix baking and NaNs in some other cases
Fixed a bug where LightMix values were randomly overwritten
Improved error handling when passing an invalid command line argument to the license server
Fixed a bug that prevented the user from using hex input in a CoronaColor map
Fixed incorrect opacity calculation when using a CoronaColor map in an opacity channel
Fixed native Max VFB not updating during render
Fixed a bug due to which you could not use linear interpolation for curves in CoronaColorCorrect. Selecting linear interpolation resulted in reverting back to cubic and restarting IR twice
CoronaColorCorrect’s curve interpolation mode no longer changes when the reset button is pressed. Also, the interpolation mode is displayed correctly when changing the curve type or loading curves
Fixed CoronaColorCorrect connected to the bump slot did not produce any impact when the brightness control was set to 0
Fixed a bug where using a render element without filtering could cause other elements to accumulate incorrectly rendering
Fixed incorrect evaluation of render elements when using opacity
Tollbar starts even in the first session of a fresh install (or after deleting the ENU folder) 3ds Max 2017 or older
Warning is displayed when rendering masks with noise limit only set (when pass and time limit are not set)
Fixed library linking materials when displaying materials with long names
The old offset is forcibly exported to Corona Standalone, as the standalone does not yet support the new grid offset
Improved error detection when loading cgeo meshes – both for Corona proxy and offline load of exported geometry
Fixed wxWidgets assertion raised when using DR
Fixed wrong calculation of normals at 2.5 D offset when having complex smoothing groups
Fixed various Corona material editor previews bitmap and Max bitmap when the map channel is different from 1 (previews are now the same)
