I’ve had little luck finding a definition for “cinematic” as it applies to sample libraries……. my guess is also a parenthetical question……. simply samples with copious amounts of ambience……… (?). Any patterns included borrowed from traditional rhythms of the genre, but the one common factor I’ve found is in the ambience of the samples.
Always learning, at least hopefully…… one other matter I’m curious about is what defines styles such as house vs trance vs techno vs the several other “standalone” styles?
