NOTE. Due to changes to the build system in Unity 2018.3, DestroyIt 1.10 requires this version.
DestroyIt is a highly optimized destruction system that provides multiple options for handling damage, repairing and destroying objects in your games.
Objects can show visible progressive damage (which can even be fixed) with the standard shader and custom damage textures. You can also play damage effects at any damage level, such as an engine that starts smoking at half health and lights up at a quarter of health.
Destruction can be simple or realistic, from replicating a particle effect to replacing an object with a previously destroyed prefab. You can even combine the two for a more extravagant effect.
DestroyIt is designed to effectively manage mass destruction. The framework provides tools to limit the effects of particles and debris when many objects are destroyed at the same time or are further away from the camera. The object pool is also used to optimize memory allocation.
Everything is provided in demo scenes and screenshots, as well as full C# source code and documentation to get you started.
