Horizon Based Ambient Occlusion (HBAO) is a post-processing image effect that is used to add realism to your scenes. It helps to emphasize fine surface details and reproduce light falloff due to occlusion.
HBAO provides more accurate AO compared to other SSAO solutions available in the Asset Store, and this without any performance penalty.
This algorithm is optimized to use minimal GPU time and provides the best quality/performance ratio.
With color bleeding feature. HBAO is ready for the Gaia extension.
HBAO is compatible with both forward and deferred rendering, and is artifact-free with SpeedTrees rendering and foliage. Source code is included in the package.
