Quality: 24 bit 44.1 kHz stereo

Description: The project of singer-songwriter Jean-Philippe Grobler, Brooklyn’s St. Lucia creates shimmering, ’80s-influenced synth-pop. On 2013’s When the Night, Grobler incorporated the inspiration of his youth with more modern influences, including tropical pop. St. Lucia’s music has become even more uplifting and anthemic with releases like 2018’s Hyperion, which incorporate elements as expansive as gospel choir and ’90s pop.
All sounds in this package were recorded or sampled by Grobler himself and were either recorded in a session for something that never made it onto the St. Lucia album or for future recording. He said: “I decided to sample the 808, CR78 and Oberheim DX because I’ve never seen samples of these machines on 96k, which is what I usually work on, and the guy I share the studio with owns these drum machines, so this it was also a good way to catalog these things when I travel.”
Consider this pack as St. Lucia’s personal inspiration and library for beginners so you can use it in your next 80s electro, synth wave or pop style.
