Description
~ Experience a new era of compressor plugins ~
The Cenozoix compressor from Three Body Technology is named after the Cenozoic era of time that
followed the extinction of the dinosaurs. Packed with innovation, this mixing and mastering plugin spearheads a new era of compressors.
Description Continued
Get the sound of 12 classic compressors
Cenozoix contains compression algorithms for all major production elements, including “Drum”, “Vocal”, “Bus” and “Mastering”, as well as algorithms that recreate the sound of vintage compressors such as “Black FET”, “Blue FET”, “Vintage” Opto”, “Virtual-Mu” and others, providing the perfect balance of practicality and versatility. This compressor plugin can satisfy all your compression needs – from tight and modern sounds to powerful vintage charm.
Apply distortion-free compression to your mixes
Ultra-fast attack and release times can lead to unwanted distortion when using existing compressors. The Cenozoix compressor uses a warping mechanism to avoid these distortion effects, making it the best choice for peak and sidechain compression. Use it to tame harsh transients in snail sounds or create basslines that rock with kick.
Reducing anti-aliasing at low CPU load with ADAA
Traditional anti-aliasing methods aimed at preventing high-frequency distortion rely on oversampling, which is processor-intensive. Anti-derivative anti-aliasing (ADAA) is an audio processing technology developed by Native Instruments and originally used in waveformers. Instead of relying on oversampling, it uses advanced mathematics to reduce aliasing without putting a heavy load on the CPU. Cenozoix Compressor is the first compressor plugin to feature ADAA technology.
Provide natural and responsive peak compression
Many compressors use static response times, serving either short or long transients, but not both. Cenozoix Compressor’s peak ridge feature dynamically adjusts release time based on the transient nature of the input signal, providing natural and responsive control over dynamic peaks. This makes the compressor great for complex signals running through vocals, guitar, drums, and the stereo bus.
Gain fine control over the compression envelope
The Cenozoix Compressor plug-in features a peak detector for fast response to transients and an RMS detector for smooth compression. Using these detectors in parallel allows you to combine their strengths, providing both instant response and uniform compression suitable for complex audio material. You also have the option of using a pure peak or RMS detector, which is best suited for individual track elements.
PECULIARITIES :
- 12 compression algorithms that recreate the sound of classic compressors.
- 12 compression algorithms for common use cases.
- Compression without distortion.
- Anti-derivational smoothing (ADAA).
- Dual peak and rms detection.
- Dynamically adjustable release time.
- Generation of even and odd harmonics.
Changelog v1.0.1 :
Bug fixes – Resampling now works correctly. Fixed an issue where some internal DSP codes would remain at the original sample rate instead of being initialized to a higher sample rate when oversampling was enabled, which could result in missing bass.
– Fixed an issue with delay compensation that was causing phase issues when mixing dry and wet signals.
– Fixed incorrect display of the Hold parameter when re-opening the graphical interface.
Optimizations
– New IR core with oversampling, improving audio quality with a slight increase in latency.
– Now supports displaying the gain reduction counter in Studio One.
