Hoard Mandolin is a versatile and dynamic legato mandolin library designed for Kontakt.
Led by renowned session guitarist and producer Jason Hoard, our goal was to create a comprehensive library of mandolins capable of delivering both virtuosic performance and sincere simplicity.
The Master Legato core patch is a real workhorse, suitable for a wide range of musical contexts. The Chicken Peck variant has the same functionality but includes repeat sustains optimized for fast and consistent playing without sacrificing the inherent capabilities of legato.
Both patches seamlessly combine legato playing techniques with down and up movements.
In addition to sustain execution, we’ve included playable repeat patches with the ability to split keyboards, tremolos, sustain chords, carefully selected short chords derived from phrases, and even muted chords; both playable and tempo-synchronized live grooves recorded at 90, 120, 150 and 180 bpm.
