Corona includes a wide range of features that provide a high level of control and customization, while remaining relatively affordable in the rendering market. Additional information

What’s new in Chaos Corona 12?
1. Export a scene from Corona to Vantage:
Combine the ease of use and unrivaled photorealism of Corona with Vantage’s world-class real-time ray tracing to achieve the architectural visualization dream of fast, easy photorealistic rendering. Now effortlessly export scenes to Vantage, explore them in real time, and render images in seconds. Create short animations directly in Vantage and enjoy lightning-fast GPU rendering speeds.
Note: With the introduction of Live Link in Corona 13, users will be able to import animations created in Corona for 3ds Max and Cinema 4D and render them in Vantage.
2. Curved Stickers:
Curved stickers allow users to perfectly bend labels onto round or curved objects such as bottles, cups, etc. without any distortion and with incredible ease. Labels can be bent a full 360 degrees to apply a design to the object. Additionally, stickers can now be bent around a second axis, allowing users to add stickers to spherical objects such as balls, balloons, and more.
3. Updated Virtual Frame Buffer (VFB):
Experience a more streamlined workflow with the ability to save multiple LightMix settings in a single render. Easily compare images with different resolutions and aspect ratios. Save time by loading a Corona EXR (.cxr) file and jumping straight into editing. Enjoy these and other new features along with an improved user interface in the new version of Corona Virtual Frame Buffer (VFB).
4. Enhanced Corona Sky:
Smooth transitions from day to night have never been better. Enhanced Corona Sky supports even lower sun angles below the horizon, making day/night animations and still images more realistic and immersive.
5. Plus…
Density Parameter: Corona Sky now also has a Density parameter – decrease it to make clouds thin and light to the point of being invisible, or increase it to make them dense and incredibly heavy.
Cryptomatte by Material: Enjoy a more optimized workflow with the new Cryptomatte by Material. The Cryptomatte render element now works correctly in Distributed Rendering (3ds Max) and Team Render (Cinema 4D), as well as when using Resume Render.
Improved Material Conversions: The conversion from VRayMaterial to Corona Physical Material has been improved, improving import from Chaos Cosmos. In Cinema 4D, the Scene Converter can now convert between Corona and C4D bitmaps, and supports converting V-Ray lights.
Corona Materials Now in Chaos Cosmos: The Corona Material Library is now available in Chaos Cosmos, which can save you time switching between the two asset libraries.
Corona Renderer offers both biased and unbiased rendering solutions at the user’s discretion. In both cases, it delivers predictable, reliable, and physically plausible results without compromising on quality.
Users can render in a completely unbiased mode and use advanced rendering algorithms like BDPT/VCM to get the most realistic, life-like results, or they can use the default values, which is a slightly biased solution. This is very close to unbiased, but significantly reduces rendering times and increases flexibility. This is the recommended solution, as it works out of the box without any configuration. Even in this mode, Corona will always produce crisp, realistic results without blemishes, interpolation artifacts, or any other visual imperfections.

Ease of Use:
Corona is one of the easiest rendering engines to learn. Setting it up is as simple as clicking “Render.”

Artist-Friendly:
Corona Renderer was developed in close collaboration with the artist community. Its creators are also former artists, so this collective knowledge and experience played a huge role in the design and development.

Flexible Lights:
Users can make any light invisible to the camera, as well as invisible to reflections/refractions. Shadows can be turned on/off, and specific objects can be included/excluded from receiving illumination from any Corona light. Backplates can be easily created using the invisibility option for GI. Standard 3ds Max lights are fully supported.

Rayswitcher Material:
The Rayswitcher material and texture allow for a wide range of artistic settings when rendering with Corona. Use them to create materials that are invisible to the camera or do not affect GI, to reduce or increase color leakage, and more.

Environment Overrides:
You can use different environment maps for reflections, refractions, and camera line of sight. For example, you can use a clear sky HDRI as a light source and a second cloudy HDRI for reflections and refractions only.

Glass without caustics:
Caustics can be difficult to calculate, especially when using path tracing. But in many cases, water or glass looks believable even without caustics, with window panes being prime examples. Because of this, caustics are disabled by default. This significantly reduces render times, and if caustics are needed, they can easily be enabled using the Caustics checkbox in the Corona material.

Shadow Catcher:
Corona implements its own shadow catcher (matte/shadow). It is a single material with all the necessary controls in one place – no need to combine special materials with other special texmaps. It works especially well with interactive rendering for quick camera and lighting mapping. Of course, advanced features such as light illuminators and matte bump mapping are supported.
Corona Renderer uses Intel Embree Ray Tracing cores, making CPU-only Corona as fast as many GPU renderers, but without the memory limitations and flexibility.

Treatment procedure :

  1. Remove Corona_72_c4d_fix.dll or any other malicious crack.

  2. Download and install Corona: chaos-corona-12-c4d-win

  3. Copy LegionLib_Release.dll to the plugins\corona directory ( C:\Program Files\MAXON\Cinema 4D 2024\plugins\corona).
and to the directories of each other version of C4D with Corona installed, if any.
and/or to the Corona Standalone directory ( C:\Program Files\Corona\Corona Renderer for Cinema 4D\Standalone), if necessary.
and/or to the Image Editor directory ( C:\Program Files\Corona\Corona Renderer for Cinema 4D\Image Editor), if necessary.
    Copy ScatterCore.ForScatter_Release.dll to C:\Program Files\MAXON\Cinema 4D 2024\plugins\ChaosScatter.

  4. Enjoy!
