WHAT WE RECORDED
We recorded a high amount of specific animals in Europe and Africa that promised the key sounds suitable to build impressive, characteristic fictional monsters from. Additionally, our sound designers used their own vocal chords, throats and mouths to the extreme, creating menacing and beastly sound elements. Finally, we found unconventional ways to emulate creatures with uncanny similarity using various props, objects and instruments.
Most of the recordings are recorded with a Sanken CO-100K microphone, which offers a frequency response up to 100kHz for highly processable recordings.
WHAT’S SO SPECIAL ABOUT THIS LIBRARY?
Teaming up with BioWare, developer behind the Mass Effect and Dragon Age series, we had the privilege of working with the experts on lifelike creatures in video games and profiting from the high standard stretching across this project.
While MONSTERS & BEASTS can be used for all kinds of creature sound design (including aliens), it was specifically targeted at the mythical and real beasts accompanying human and pre-human history and fiction. This gives the library a grounded, familiar, even so overwhelming feel, like an undiscovered part of our legacy.
COMPATIBLE SOFTWARE
BOOM Library sound FX come as WAV files, meaning you can import and work with them in any software that can handle this file type. Here are the most common audio and video editing software tools that work perfectly with our sound FX.
RICH METADATA EMBEDDED
