What do you get when you combine two acoustic guitars? It’s a 12-string guitar , but not the kind you might be familiar with. This experimental 12-string guitar is a unique instrument designed by Oliver Codd to perform in virtual space thanks to its beautiful, simple and limited design. All strings are tuned to the same note, resulting in a powerful, rich, ensemble sound that, although pleasant in sound, is very difficult to reproduce in a live performance. Through sampling, it was possible to capture all the beautiful nuances and overcome limitations in performance, opening up a whole new world of creative possibilities.
