Dynamic pumping is a new way to be creative with your mixes! By adjusting the frequency based on the volume of the source or side chain signal, Sweeping becomes a more natural alternative to gating and side chain compression, as well as a creative tool for completely transforming the sound.
Create space in your mix for beautiful balance. In some heavy bass genres, the kick should always sound huge and fat. But problems can arise during the faster parts of your song, where the decay of the kick overlaps the adjacent kick, ruining the mix and clarity of the kick itself. On these drums, we used the Sweeper to remove the low rumble when the kick plays the 16th note, using a long attack time and a short release.
