Description: Kemenche String is a sampling instrument and recorded performances whose purpose is to provide you with both realistic strings and an instrument for layering other string sounds thanks to the deep and expressive sound it generates.
As usual, we recorded long improvisations, phrases, natural and processed loops, but this time we focused on the sampled instrument more than usual.
Kemenche or kemençe is the name used for various types of stringed bowed musical instruments originating from the Eastern Mediterranean, the Middle East, especially in Turkey, Iran, Armenia, Greece and the regions adjacent to the Black Sea.
We present to you what is called a classic kemenche, which has a softer and more sophisticated sound compared to fairly simple, danceable, more hard-sounding versions.
Very interesting for this instrument is that it is played on it, slightly touching the string with a fingernail on the side (instead of pressing it down or to the fret), which, combined with its small, resonant capacious body and bend, gives the instrument a unique mesmerizing sound character.
The library covers all typical and some unusual articulations that you can immediately use when switching the keyboard during the game, combining it into one rich tool. In addition to articulating the sustain, we also sampled the recorded vibrato for a very authentic sound.
