Weather
Maker is the most complete weather, water, volumetric cloud/fog/light, terrain and sky mapping system for Unity. In both 2D and 3D modes, Weather Maker is the final resource you’ll need for weather, skies and more in your Unity app or game. Full C# source code and shader code are provided! Simply drop the prefab into your scene and it’s ready to go! Weather Maker will save you thousands of hours of development time.
The value of
Weather Maker is that it’s a lot of assets in one. Weather, sky, water, volumetric clouds, lights and fog, lightning, ambient sound, and more. You can spend $300 or more buying them individually and then spend months integrating them, or you can just buy Weather Maker and integrate everything. AAA games, indie games, prototypes, and apps are great for Weather Maker.
The Weather Maker pipeline render script
supports the Lightweight Render Pipeline (Unity 2019.1 or later) and the Standard Pipeline (Unity 2017.4 or later). Please see the readme.txt file for instructions on how to enable the Lightweight Render Pipeline. LWRP water will be coming in a future update.

Volumetric Clouds
Using modern shaders and performance techniques, volumetric clouds look beautiful and don’t hurt your frame rate. Swirling, whispering, and epic clouds respond to ambient, directional lights, and lightning for that AAA look. Even cube maps and water reflections show clouds effortlessly. Cloud probes provide easy access to cloud density for any Transform component (and run on the GPU!). To top it all off, you can fly through clouds, and god rays are embedded in the clouds.
Weather Effects
Weather effects include rain, snow, hail, and sleet. Collision with the scene is optional. Particle systems are properly lit with all lights in your scene. All weather effects fade in both visually and audio to provide a realistic and smooth experience. Wind is also linked and affects particles and trees. Soundproof prefabs are provided to handle instances where the player goes inside. Animated puddles on the ground are also available. Null zones ensure that the weather stays away from indoors.
Weather API Integration
Weather Maker integrates with Open Weather Map out of the box, but it’s very easy to create your own weather API provider.
Northern Lights / Aurora Borealis
Spice up your night sky with the beautiful Northern Lights. Customize colors, shapes, details, height, animations and more. The aurora borealis gently rotates around your planet, even from space!
Weather Zones
Easily attach a weather profile to a collider and create a weather zone. When a player moves into a zone, the weather changes randomly to the profile for that zone. Add null zones using the collider (with rotation and scale) to block precipitation, fog, etc. in specific areas (buildings, caves, etc.). Or simply activate the global weather zone for instant random weather with one click! Integrates beautifully with the vegetation in pro biomes studio.
Day/Night Cycle
Weather Maker has a full-featured day and night cycle. Ambient light, directional light, shadows, latitude, longitude, planet axis and more are customizable. The position of the Sun and Moon is accurate to the date and time. The stars rotate at night with only one night texture. No cube map needed.
Water Water
is built right in. For the price of other water assets, you get Weather Maker with water! Drop a dynamic water prefab into your scene and get one support under full lighting. Performance is impeccable even on VR and mobile! Weather Maker has the only water in the asset store that renders reflections in VR in multi-pass and single-pass stereo. Underwater mode with water fog is supported and looks great with the new post-processing stack. Waves, caustics, shorelines, water profiles, tessellation and automatic water height map give you the best water in the asset store.
Volumetric Fog and Lights
Weather Maker fog is a full-screen effect tuned to work on the lowest end devices. No branching or ray tracing and one call and the fog still looks amazing. A fog box and sphere prefab are also included. Volumetric light is supported for point, spot, area and directional lights. The main directional light (sun) even has a volumetric shadow! Other assets use a slightly crazy volumetric league
