Additional Information
Meteor’s built-in sound library has been carefully crafted to offer you a wealth of useful and inspiring sounds, from exclusive outdoor recordings and sound effects to symphony orchestra sessions conducted exclusively for Meteor and synthetic landscapes, textures, effects and instruments.
A powerful and intuitive sound design tool that delivers emotional orchestral movements, dynamic rising effects and thunderclaps that are ideal for animation of films, video games, trailers and music.

Original symphonic orchestral sessions were recorded specifically for Meteor to provide a powerful and emotionally charged musical foundation with crystal clear highs, detailed mids and deep bass. This symphonic section includes a string section consisting of 32 cellos and double basses, a wind section focused on the deepest sounds with tubas, bass trombones, horns, bassoons and double basses, and a percussion section that features four instrumentalists and captures all kinds of sounds and influences.

Meteor’s interface was designed to be efficient; this allows you to benefit from the appropriate level of detail depending on your job. Looking for inspiration? Load sounds, set your desired rise and impact times, quickly listen to presets, or hit the randomize function to access an endless list of unique settings. Then turn the Thrust knob to take your sound into a new dimension. Looking to tweak your sound or even start from scratch? Click the Settings button to access detailed controls, design each audio layer from a wide range of sounds and controls, then finish it all off with modulations and bus effects.

If you want to use Meteor as an instrument in your compositions, disable the Hold button and play sounds while controlling their pitch, speed, and timing.
Meteor is also a 7-track audio sample player, divided into two parts: three layers dedicated to “Rise” and four to “Impact”. Each sound layer offers general track controls, including volume, pan, bypass, mute, solo, and effect sends for reverb and delay, as well as controls specific to the sound layer type. Each of the Rises includes an envelope, pitch and volume modulation, a multi-mode distortion effect, and a multi-mode filter. Each effect track includes time shift, transient and decay duration control, multi-mode distortion, multi-mode filter, pitch slide and IRCAM Granular mode.
Both Rise and Impact have Link features which, when activated, allow changes to be applied to all tracks at once. Also included are controls for bypass, octave transpose, and undo/randomize. The duration of “Rise” can be set freely or in tempo sync modes, and can also be locked to keep it fixed as you explore different presets. By default, Impacts play at the end of Lift, but they can be advanced or delayed—by combining them with the offsets of each layer, you can create varied and complex sequences.

You’ll be able to add subtle or dramatic movement to your sounds using the LFO, multi-stage envelope on Filter and Pan, each of which can influence the Rise and Impact groups together or separately. Stereo bus effects include a high-quality three-band EQ with a low-pass filter, as well as convolution reverb, delay, width control, and a unique compressor/amp called “THRUST” that lets you adjust the overall intensity of your sounds. from a single but powerful potentiometer.

Outdoor recordings and sound effects were performed by our team of sound engineers in multiple locations (including a junkyard and a farm) to bring you rich sonic layers and organic micro-details. You’ll find sounds of glass, metal, stone and organic materials, as well as sounds of weapons, explosions, impacts and knocks, presenting a wide range of organic sounds with impressive clarity.
Synthetic tones were created in Falcon specifically for Meteor to add weight and presence; This section features rich bass and textures, as well as glitches, distortions, crackles, complex noise layers, synthetic volume effects and futuristic effects.
