Description : The second virtual instrument, SH2 Plug-Out, imitating a single-voice SH2 analog synthesizer, has been announced. The new SH-2 uses analog circuit technology, reliably recreates the warm, rich sound of the original, which can only come from Roland.
At the end of the 1970s, synthesizers went through a transition period with the development of polyphony and memory. As global synthesizer manufacturers sought to develop these new technologies, Roland launched the seemingly basic monophonic synthesizer – now the classic SH-2. Although it was released around the same time as Roland’s JUPITER-4, a pioneer of polyphonic synthesizers, the SH-2 functionality was rather conservative compared to the JUPITER-4 functionality. But his uniquely designed configuration, consisting of two VCOs and a sub-oscillator, which essentially gave him three VCOs, was capable of extremely greasy and warm analog synthetic tones. To this day, many fans of the synthesizer feel that it produces the most amazing bass sounds of all time.
