HoRNet – Tape 1.0.2 (VST, VST3, AAX, AU) [WIN.OSX x86 x64]

By | November 30, 2017

HoRNet Tape is a simulation of the effect of tape on recording.
The tape was convenient for recording, before the figure took its place in the early 90’s and had an excellent effect, which helped determine the sound of music in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. HoRNet Tape uses a clear tape-tightening of your tracks, and also adds a specific frequency response of four different popular tape machines, each with two different speeds, 15 or 30 inches per second.
The saturation effect of the tape acts differently at high and low frequencies, saturating much faster on high and giving the drums and vocals a distinctive “shhh” sound, low frequencies become denser and gain weight. All this in combination with the nonlinear frequency response of tape recorders creates a classic vintage sound. HoRNet Tape also allows you to change the offset applied to the tape, changing the saturation characteristics and allowing you to increase the effect.

The emulation of the cassette deck includes both the typical frequency response set by the playback head and the internal saturation of the electronics, the change in the frequency response affects mainly the low part of the spectrum and varies with the tape speed from 15 to 30 inches / s.

We provided Tape with the ability to automatically set the gain of the input signal with our Auto Gain technology and more accurately adjust your recording level, allowing you to choose between +1, +2 or +3 VU. A constant level monitoring is provided, which will allow you to judge the effect without being deceived by changing the volume.

Since the application of this plug-in is possible both on a separate track and on the whole mix, we have added a grouping function that will allow you to automatically copy some parameters (for example, deck type, input level, bypass, etc.) for each plugin instance installed in the same group. Up to 8 groups are available.
