    Hey man thanks for the chance to check this out…….
    I don’t know if this is the “right” way or “ridiculous” way, but when I write by piano roll/sequencer I nail down the kick drum’s rhythm first. I copy those patterns onto a bass track, adjust bass’s pitches and lengths and I’m done. What I hope gets covered here is how to use triplets and dotted notes to get TF out of the 1/16th and 1/8th note “box” 🙂 And then there’s hi-hats……. one of the most powerful pieces of the kit; I’m tormented by the fact they never seem to have much balls in terms of volume.
