Description:
Bass XXL offers a more efficient way to produce the thick, consistent low frequencies that define modern mixes.
Thanks to a patented algorithm that creates harmonics above the fundamental frequency, your bass will be enhanced even with headphones and small speakers.
Key Features and Capabilities

Create a Brainwashing Bass:
Bass XXL uses a patented algorithm designed to enhance low frequencies.
The plugin does this by generating additional harmonics that are actually higher than the bass frequency you want to boost.
This concept takes advantage of a psychoacoustic phenomenon that causes our brain to interpret low-frequency sound
based largely on its harmonics rather than the lowest sounds produced. Even when low frequencies are missing, we fill in the gaps
and perceive low frequencies as long as the corresponding harmonics are present.
Since many modern in-ear headphones and small speakers are unable to reproduce satisfactory low frequencies,
Bass XXL comes to the rescue by boosting your bass with fat, rich harmonics that are easier to hear.

For lovers of big bass:
– Ideal tool for improving low frequencies
Building on the cult success of our Bass XL V1, we wanted to raise the bar with the Bass XXL and create an instrument for
“be-all-end-all” bass improvements. Use the plugin to boost basslines, drums, toms, drum groups, or even entire mixes.
– Not all harmonics are created equal
The Bass XXL harmonic algorithm is specifically designed to work at low frequencies. Unlike a sub-synthesizer,
it generates its harmonics entirely from your dry track, resulting in a natural and organic bass boost,
which matches perfectly. The algorithm combines the smoothness of analog saturation with digital precision and oversampling.
In addition, we have eliminated phasing issues that can sometimes occur when using this type of effect.
– Pain relief
One of the biggest challenges in professional mixing is getting the bass levels right.
which plays well on all listening devices. Bass XXL does not offer any miracle cure,
but it takes away most of the headaches and makes your job much easier.
Reinforcement with Surgical Precision:
Low frequency harmonics are powerful things. Therefore, before adding them, you need to determine exactly
what to focus on. Bass XXL provides flexibility with three different modes:
– Frequency
Manually select the desired frequency to add punch and weight to kick drums, percussion, single hits and mix groups.
– Main note
For melodic instruments such as synths or bass guitar, select the root note to ensure Bass XXL’s harmonic enhancements match your track.
– Midi
If you want Bass XXL to change focus according to tone movements in your track,
you can control the plugin via midi (by linking it to your bassline, for example).

Let the magic happen:
– Harmonics
Use the Harmonics control to adjust the intensity of harmonic generation.
Part of the magic of Bass XXL lies in the musical way it processes your dry track to generate those harmonics.
So don’t be afraid to turn it up loud. Use resampling for even higher quality.
– Increase
The gain control mixes the harmonics in parallel, i.e. without touching your dry path.
This ensures that you can add harmonics to your low frequencies without disturbing their original placement in your mix.
Turn on solo mode to listen to harmonics in isolation.
– Look what you can’t hear
Get a clinical understanding of your track’s low frequencies with a spectrogram zoomed in on the low end only.
displaying the Bass XXL harmonics and your unaffected dry signal separately. To get a visual representation of the full spectrum,
Click the magnifying glass icon on the top bar.

Your bass. In your:
– Pre-delay
Allows you to preserve the transient response of your dry signal while adding delay to the harmonics.
– Mono
While you typically want the bass front and center in your mix, the XXL mono Bass knob gives you the flexibility to maintain a stereo image of the track.
– Slope
Use the slope control to shape the harmonic signal by setting the curve that rolls off the Bass XXL frequencies.
Use a gradual incline for a smoother, more analogue feel, or make it steeper for a more surgical enhancement.
– Range
Set how many octaves the Bass XXL harmonics will be generated. Settings high range will make the effect more audible,
while lower settings will make the effect more subtle.

This is not a synthesizer:
So what is this thing then? To clear up some confusion, this is not a subsynthesis, but a highly specialized effects plugin,
which takes your dry track and carefully generates harmonics in a specific frequency region, then mixes those harmonics into your track.
The way Bass XXL creates its harmonics uses a psychoacoustic phenomenon that causes our brains to perceive lower frequencies even when they are not there.
This is useful for achieving powerful bass sound in both large and small speakers.
With Bass XXL we take this concept as far as it can go, giving you added versatility and superior sound quality.
The plugin is light on CPU and does not create phasing or latency issues. Unlike a sub synth, the harmonics of Bass XXL are taken entirely from
your original track. The result is a natural bass boost that’s more like “adding extra magic”
than layering on another tool. Take the demo and try it yourself!
