Content :
OVER 5 HOURS OF UNIQUE BIOME RECORDINGS
This library includes 40 species vocalizations (including the Hawaiian Crow, now extinct in the wild) and 105 ambiences which are conveniently divided into coastal and Up-Island, as well as day and night, to simplify workflow.
VIVID AND INCREDIBLY MULTI-FACETED
Use this comprehensive SFX toolbox to design stunning nature scenarios with extremely manifold and vivid exotic wildlife. No matter if you’re searching for thundering, wave-swept boulder beaches, birdsong-rich tropical forests, a fascinating symphony of thousands of animals during the day or some super-interesting and exotic “conversations” at night, it’s all available in this pack.
GET THE SURROUND EXPERIENCE
Surround ambiences are the closest approach to nature’s true and original vivid sound. Once given the opportunity to unfold their true acoustic potential, these fabulous 5.0 surround recordings will surely keep you from accepting any less in the future.
WHAT WE RECORDED
This unprecedented library was accomplished over two decades of repeated visits to Maui, Kauai, Oahu, and the Big Island. The distance from Hawaii to the closest mainland is 2,285 miles, making it the most isolated islands in the world, enough distance to allow a vast array of endemic species to evolve, particularly birds. Also the life underwater is a sonic wonderland, particularly the evocative, seemingly mystical songs of the Humpback Whale.
WHAT’S SO SPECIAL ABOUT THIS LIBRARY?
All life needs water to survive, and people are no different. As soon as your audience hears water, they will instinctively want to get closer to the sound source, and then even closer — but only to the point that the water sounds don’t mask faint sounds and thereby compromise security. Do the math and listen to our latest library RIPARIAN ZONES by Sound Tracker® and nature recording genius Gordon Hempton.
ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIVIST & EMMY-WINNER
All of the nature sounds in the QUIET PLANET Nature SFX series were recorded by Gordon Hempton, The Sound Tracker®, Emmy-winner, author of One Square Inch of Silence, and environmental activist. Faced with habitat loss, species extinction and most of all unbridled noise pollution, Hempton has now turned his attention towards saving the world’s few remaining natural amphitheaters.
COMPATIBLE SOFTWARE
BOOM Library sound FX come as WAV files, meaning you can import and work with them in any software that can handle this file type. Here are the most common audio and video editing software tools that work perfectly with our sound FX.
RICH METADATA EMBEDDED
To provide you with the fastest and easiest workflow possible, all files contain extensive metadata like file description & keywords to quickly find the sounds you’re looking for. Metadata can be read and processed by audio management tools. Some digital audio workstations feature an included search tool that can also read embedded metadata.
