Description: Autodesk Maya is software for 3D animation, modeling, and visualization with powerful tools. The program is used to create animation, environments, motion graphics, virtual reality, and characters.

Additional Information: Original installers from the Autodesk server + a simple and effective remedy.

Note: The installer contains Autodesk Licensing Service version 16.0.3.14414.
If other Autodesk products are already installed on the system and were repaired with an earlier version of ALS, ALS will be updated and the licenses will be lost. A repeat repair will be required.

Arnold – Rolling Back Action

Is Arnold installation progress rolling back with the “Rolling Back Action” message? The problem is likely due to an outdated version of AdskLicensing.
Diagnosed through the msiexec log:
msiexec /i “C:\MtoA-5.5.6.1-windows-2026.msi” /L*v C:\mtoa_log.txt
Look for lines like these in the log:
CAQuietExec: checking single-user licensing version…
CAQuietExec: installed version: 15.1.0.12339
CAQuietExec: minimum required version: 15.3.0.12981
If this is confirmed, you should uninstall AdskLicensing during the MtoA installation. Via C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\AdskLicensing\uninstall.exe

Viewport 2.0 still uses too much CPU. This is a common issue with Maya 2027.X.

You can fix this by switching to the Legacy viewport:
1. Open %username%\Documents\maya\2027\Maya.env in Notepad
2. Enter the line: MAYA_ENABLE_DEPRECATED_VIEWPORT=1
3. Save, restart Maya, and switch the Renderer to Legacy in the viewport panel
