Treatment:
- Download the necessary packages and AtomX (if not installed) and unpack the packages to any convenient location; they will be used directly from there.
Installing AtomX: -
- Go to the AtomX folder, then to the “AtomX v3.0.9” folder. There will be another AtomX folder in it, copy it to the address:
WIN:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEP\extensions
MAC:
/ Library/ Application Support/ Adobe/CEP/extensions
- Go to the AtomX folder, then to the “AtomX v3.0.9” folder. There will be another AtomX folder in it, copy it to the address:

WIN: Run Add Keys.reg as administrator
MAC: install-as-admin.zip -
Open the After Effects preferences and enable the option “Allow scripts to read, write, and access the network”

For AE CC2019.1 and higher:
WIN: Edit → Preferences → Scripts and Expressions
MAC: After Effects CC → Preferences → Scripts and Expressions -
Open AtomX In AE – Windows—Extentions—-AtomX
Installing Packages:
Click the globe icon in the upper left corner, then select NEW PACKAGE.
In the window that appears, find the folder containing the desired plugin and select the file with the .atom extension (e.g., Bundle.atom) from the plugins folder.
Then, select “Do not copy,” then click CONTINUE . (Open packages in the AtomX panel only as Portable.)
⚠️If old packs are not installed: in the AtomX folder there is version AtomX v3.0.8 (validate for old packs). It is suitable for installing old packs; you can install all packs through it, and then update atomX to version 3.0.9 and higher.
⚠️Note! Most AE plugins use JavaScript. Therefore, it’s best to select it instead of LegacyScript in Project Settings before applying the effect.
