Installing the program step by step
- Disable the firewall, antivirus and Internet before installation. Add executable files to exceptions.
I always disable the Internet to avoid that during installation it climbs to their servers and if there is no Internet, it breaks
. You can leave it on, by the way, now I installed it with the Internet turned on and everything is fine. -
Remove the old version using the installation and removal of programs from the control panel.
Then run the pre-installation cleaning with the AdobeAcroCleaner_DC2021_x64.exe file from the Pre-installation cleaning folder.
Also delete the Adobe folder from the Common Files folder. After deleting, be sure to reboot.
Run the “setup.exe” file, uncheck: “Install the Adobe Genuine Service (AGS)” if necessary, select the desired settings.
Please note if you already had the previous version and you deleted it and did not sufficiently clean up traces of previous installations, this screen will not appear but will simply appear with the installation parameters. That is, we search and delete. For searching, I prepared the program Everything, it is free, enter Adobe Acrobat in the search and look for all traces and delete manually, especially in system folders and user-folders. I also added a program in the Become the owner folder for those who have difficulties with admin rights in the system. I also added a program in the Run with highest privileges folder, it is also free. I often use these programs myself. Also in the distribution I attach the Adobe-GenP-3.3.11-CGP folder, open the AdobeGenP.exe file, go to the Pop-up tools tab, the Destroy AGS button deletes the AGS service, be sure to check this when cleaning and after installation. Regarding the other buttons, you will figure it out if you know English, it is not difficult.
Wait until the installation is complete, DO NOT RUN the program, click “Finish”.
Run the update file “AcrobatDCx64Upd2500120428.msp” click “Update”. When the installation is complete, click “Finish”, DO NOT RUN the program!
Replacing files:
Run the file “FilesReplaceX64.exe” from the “Registration” folder, get the message: “The files have been replaced.” – OK, this file will replace the files: Acrobat.dll, acrodistdll.dll, acrotray.exe with the registered ones.
Blocking hosts:
Run the file “BlockHosts.exe” from the “Registration” folder, this file will add the necessary entries to the hosts file. Do not run “BlockHosts.exe” if you have already applied hosts blocking for Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. Remove
hosts blocking – remove the lines “Adobe Acrobat Pro DC” in the hosts file, access hosts – shortcut .etc.
Block Firewall:
Run the file BlockFirewall.exe from the “Registration” folder, this file will block access to the network for Adobe Acrobat Pro DC exe files. Get the message: “Adobe Acrobat Pro DC Firewall is blocked.”
Unblock Firewall:
Run the file UnblockFirewall.exe from the “Registration” folder, this file will unblock access to the network for Adobe Acrobat Pro DC exe files. Get the message: “Adobe Acrobat Pro DC Firewall Unblocked.”
Block Firewall only when necessary.
After installation, go to Adobe-GenP-3.3.11-CGP, open the AdobeGenP.exe file, go to the Pop-up tools tab, click Destroy AGS, delete the AGS service, if it suddenly exists and was installed somehow, this happens, be sure to check this after installation.
The program is ready for use.
