Description: Energy is a product of a unique and extremely rare additive synthesizer of the early 80s – Digital Keyboards Synergy. Released in 1982, DK Synergy was based on an extremely sophisticated additive engine at the time, derived from the Crumar GDS (General Development System), which cost nearly $ 30,000 and was widely used by Wendy Carlos on the original TRON soundtrack. In fact, many of the Synergy presets were created by Wendy Carlos herself, who is known to still use the synthesizer.

Additional Information :
The Synergy had a short commercial run of over 3 years with fewer than 1,000 units produced as this was ultimately overshadowed by Yamaha’s rampant success with the much cheaper DX7.
