Description : This SDX expansion for Superior Drummer 2 contains original recordings of the best and most popular drum kits on the market. What makes it different from the EZX version is that the SDX sounds are raw without post-processing, i.e. the source material was recorded directly in the studio. It comes with basically the same set of tools, as well as the usual bank of presets.
Sessions were held in Los Angeles at Henson Recording Studios. They used to be called A&M studios and their equipment has been used by the recording industry for the last few decades. Metallica, Soundgarden, Kiss, Pearl Jam and others mixed and recorded their innovative works here.
A man who needs no introduction in the world of metal, Andy Sneap, took part in the recording. Producing and mixing albums by some of today’s best selling metal bands/artists such as Testament, Megadeth, Accept and Killswitch Engage, Sneap has been instrumental in shaping the metal sound as we know it in the new millennium.
This library includes three complete kits, a wide range of cymbals and a total of seven drum snares recorded using the finest equipment. The concrete-lined room in Studio B produces a solid yet deep and precise tone, making it the perfect sounding medium for big, reverberant rock and metal drums. This room really reveals the very essence and original nature of these instruments.
This is more than just a collection of drums for rock and metal. Powered by Superior Drummer’s powerful tools, it’s a blank canvas of the finest raw materials, ready to be used to create a truly unique sound.
