Description : DUNE 3 is built on the basis of the award-winning DUNE 2 synthesizer, adding new features and innovative ideas to create the best experience with DUNE! DUNE 3 comes with many new patches created by experienced sound engineers. Since DUNE 3 is fully compatible with DUNE 2, it also includes its sound presets — doubling the size of the factory library to more than 1000 patches.
The revised filter section in Dune 3 now contains a dual multi-mode filter and an insert effect. Different routing modes, such as sequential / parallel and seamless mixing using the balance control, provide unlimited creative potential! New types of filters have also been added, including filters in zero-latency feedback circuits based on our latest analog modeling technology. For creative creativity, there are new insert effects, such as a formant / vowel filter or a phaser, which greatly expand the range of possibilities of sound design.
Dual Arpeggiator – Two arpeggiators instead of one greatly expand the possibilities of the sound design of the DUNE 3. The arpeggiators can be programmed independently and receive both classic Up / Down arpeggios and various sequences or even MIDI files. In addition, new features, such as the Random mode or the programmable Arp Hold function, make the arpeggiator more powerful than ever before!
Oscillators – DUNE 3 is based on its powerful oscillator blocks. DUNE 3 supports the following synthesis: VA, FM and Wavetable. With a maximum margin of 8320 oscillators with full polyphony, DUNE 3 is a true polyphonic monster, whose possibilities can hardly ever be exhausted.
New in DUNE 3 is the “Swarm” mode, an evolution of the classic Supersaw sound generator. In this mode, each oscillator gets its own modulation, breathing much more life into the sound than was possible before!
Updated Effects – DUNE 3 offers many new effect algorithms in all categories, such as distros, chorus, phaser, equalizer, delay and reverb.
One of the most important additions is the new equalizer, which uses technology from our GQ-7 Graphic Equalizer. Designed as a professional EQ for mixing and mastering, it contains four bands with high-quality parametric and shelf EQs, as well as two additional low and high-pass filters with different cuts. All filters in the equalizer are designed to adjust the modulation without artifacts, so this equalizer can be used for creative purposes other than traditional equalizer plug-ins.
Another great effect is the new Shimmer Hall, an exclusive DUNE 3U feature that is perfect for lush background sounds, great pads and leads!
New Wavetable Editor – introduced in DUNE 3, is one of the most powerful. Waveforms can be created using drawing, segments, a special editor of image parts or by entering formulas. Various functions, such as morphing, gradual increase / decrease, normalization, DC removal, inverting / reversing, make the creation of new wave tables very fast. Waveforms and tables can be imported and exported in WAV format and, thus, compatible with a wide range of third-party software.
