Afro-Cuban percussion produces some of the most emotional and dynamic sounds known. The way intricate rhythms and upbeat dance beats mix and match in his signature polyrhythmic drum will have anyone hitting the dance floor. Renowned Afro-Cuban percussionist Elizabeth Pupo Walker brought her talent, history and passion for the genre to bear in creating this pack. Dig into congas, bongos, caons and other Afro-Cuban percussions with one shot and loops.
Pupo Walker studied in Havana, Cuba at the Conjunto Folklorico Nacional de Cuba and in Matanzas, Cuba with the world famous percussion ensemble Los Munequitos de Matanzas. She has been looking for specific instructors throughout her career, delving into the drumming dialects of the Brazilian Batucada and the Caribbean rhythms of the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and many more. She formed an eclectic percussive jazz group, Manah in Seattle; recorded and toured with BRAD featuring members of Pearl Jam; and performed regularly with Reggie Watts. She was featured in DRUM! The magazine has toured the world, performing and recording with a wide variety of artists including Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, John Legend, Mark Ronson, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Radio Television, The Roots, Nels Cline, Meshell Ndegeocello, Lee Fields and Expressions, Mavis Staples,
