Publisher: Splice Sessions
Site: splice.com
Format: WAV
Quality: 24 bit 44.1 kHz stereo

Description: Created by Pape Armand Boye at La Boutique Studios in Dakar, this set brings together some of the best African reggae and dub artists to showcase the genre’s Senegalese style. Processed with Roland Space Echos and other classic boxes, this package approximates the classic 70s sound of early dubs by Osbourne “King Tubby” Ruddock, Lee “Scratch” Perry, and Errol Thompson.
These sounds are raw material that can be woven into a kaleidoscope of psychedelic space songs. Or, as a subtle hint, an homage to those who gave us the rhythms and techniques that have influenced popular music so much today.
