Description: This tutorial was designed for beginner and intermediate Resolve users who want to work faster while improving the look of their footage. This tutorial assumes a basic familiarity with the DaVinci Resolve 17/18 user interface. Users who require a basic understanding of DaVinci Resolve should review the DaVinci Resolve 18 Basic Training.

– Color rendering with confidence
Using the projects we provide, you’ll immediately begin color grading a wide variety of footage. You’ll learn the best approaches to adjusting tonal range and contrast for each shot using color wheels and curves. You’ll also learn how to develop a shot-matching strategy that will make your assessment sessions more disciplined and, ultimately, more productive.

– Perform targeted corrections
Resolve’s numerous qualifiers are a powerful way to isolate and make targeted adjustments to your images. One common use case is sky replacement, and you’ll learn how to use the 3D qualifier in conjunction with the new sky replacement effect in Resolve 18 to replace dull skies with brighter ones.

– Use AI as an assessment assistant
With Magic Mask (Studio version only), elements such as faces, clothing, human bodies, and even objects can be isolated using Neural Engine Resolve. You’ll learn how to combine Magic Mask with qualifiers to make selections that would otherwise be impossible to achieve in other assessment applications.

– Streamline your assessment workflow
This guide focuses on improving your productivity in Resolve. In this example, Mark shows how to use shared nodes to link your ratings to other clips, so that when you make changes to one of them, all other clips using that node receive your changes.
