Description: Chamber ensembles and soloists
TIME micro is your creative resource for atmospheric and rhythmic accents, focused on small groups of instruments and soloists – for example, chamber-sized string sections and small vocal groups consisting of no more than three singers.
Instead of standard instruments, users often find lower or softer alternatives: basset horn instead of clarinet, flugelhorn / cornet instead of trumpet and alto flute / bass flute instead of standard flute.
In addition to the inspiring string quartet recorded in unison and the low bass section, TIME micro will expand your palette of sounds with shimmering tones of celesta, harp and mandolin. Not to mention experimental and unusual articulations – from the airy shades of woodwind, harmonic waves and colors to stuttering staccato performances and barely audible ultra-soft string bows.
Unique colors and textures – Only a lot of subtle touches that will expand your set of orchestral inspiration with unique colors of intimate textures.
Unstable tones – The sense of time shift provided by TIME micro and its name can be explained by elusive forward movements inside looped stable textures, as well as the “swing of the pendulum”, which recreates the oscillatory movements of the pendulum in the form of a dynamic swell inside these patches. Rhythmic patterns that conjure up sounds of clockworks played on the same field or in the form of non-tonal percussion notes.
Timeless recordings – As with TIME macro, the Metropolis and Berlin Series collections, all of the orchestra’s samples were recorded using the highest microphone settings on the legendary Teldex Scoring stage. Superb acoustics, perfect for acoustic sampling, this uniquely balanced room also has the best microphones of the past fifty years.
