Ability to install updates without connecting to the Internet.
The ability to place update files on a server on a local network and thereby centrally update anti-virus software on several PCs.

1.Option
• When starting a torrent, specify C:\ for downloading
• After the updates have been downloaded..
• Launch ESET (antivirus or smart security)
• Press F5 ->Advanced settings
• In the “Settings” window that opens, click on the “ tab on the left” Update” ;
• In the window that opens on the right, find the line “Update server”, next to it click the “Change” button;
• The “List of Update Servers” window will open. Enter: the path to the folder you downloaded C:\Eset-Updates
• Press the buttons “Add”, “OK” in sequence;
• Press the “OK” button, the ESET product window will reappear;
• On the left side of the ESET window, click on “Update” (section/tab);
• On the right side of the ESET window, in the “Virus signature database” window that opens, click on “Update virus signature database”;
• When finished, the program will write: “No update required…”.
2. Option: (You may need to disable the eset v9-v14 self-defense module)
Open the registry editor (regedit) and find the parameter:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ESET\ESET Security\CurrentVersion\Plugins\01000400\Settings -> FailSafeServer then enter the path to the folder with updates, for example C:\Eset-Updates, look at the latest screenshot.
ESET v15 versions – Self-defense may need to be disabled.
