Description : A non-installable and portable assembly of the popular sampler from the German company Native Instruments, which has been releasing music software since 1996. It stands at the origins of the revolution in music production, which made the emergence of virtual musical instruments.
A large number of third-party sampler libraries have been created on the Kontakt platform.
Features :
1. Installation, including additional software (Service Center, Native Access, MS VS C ++ runtime), is not required.
2. All settings are saved in the program’s portable folder (the Windows registry and other system stores are not used, administrator rights are not required * ).
3. Integrated Library Manager (instead of the lost Add Library button), which provides full control over protected libraries, and also allows you to register unprotected (self-made) libraries without generating nicnt files.
4. Ability to work simultaneously with the installed version of the Contact without conflicts and with different settings ** .
5. Activation of protected libraries is not required.
6. Ability to edit password-protected scripts.
7. Possibility of resaving with samples patches of protected libraries.
Notes:
* You need (super)administrator rights if the portable program folder is placed in a protected system storage (for example, in Program Files) – such an arrangement for portable programs is unnatural and is not recommended **There are plug-ins with
modified identifiers (need to be unpacked if your host does not see the plug-ins of the installed and transferred Contact at the same time)
What’s new in version 5.7.3
The developers stated that NOTHING, except for:
KONTAKT now starts much faster, especially on systems with a large number of registered libraries (i.e. with a large number of bookmarks in the Libraries tab of the internal browser)
How to add a Kontakt 5 PORTABLE VST to a host (DAW)
Method 1 :
Run Kontakt57Portable\Install.exe and create a link to the portable Contact’s VST plugins in one of the folders already scanned by your host
Method 2 :
Open your host settings and add the folder Kontakt57Portable\Kontakt 5\x64\VST\ (or Kontakt57Portable\ Kontakt 5\x86\VST\ if the host does not support 64-bit plugins) as an additional plugin scan folder.

How to upgrade to version 5.7.0 PORTABLE or 5.7.1 PORTABLE
Close all copies of Kontakt 5 Portable and temporarily rename the program’s portable folder to Kontakt57Portable When extracting, select the parent folder: Agree to replace files
