Description : MOTU introduced the 10th version of Digital Performer – a major update to its flagship audio software.
New features include a Clips window for live start-up and loop playback of audio and MIDI clips, Stretch Audio based on industry-leading ZTX PRO technology, VCA faders, a new user-friendly content browser, support for VST3 plug-ins, scalable user interface and sound 5 GB bank containing hundreds of virtual instruments.
Now users can drag and drop audio and MIDI clips from the new Content Browser DP into the cells of the Clips window and launch them in real time, interactively, for live performance or for inspiration while creating new material. Users can also run groups of clips with multiple tracks (a partial row of cells) or the entire row (clips across all tracks). The new Stretch editing layer for audio tracks allows users to drag individual beats and their anchor points to fine-tune them to get exactly the feeling they want. For global tempo control, users can simply turn on the Stretch mode for each track, and the entire sound track is instantly consistent with the tempo and timeline of the project, even with a gradual change in tempo over time. Zynaptiq’s ZTX PRO technology delivers the highest possible sound quality. The advanced beat detection in the DP10 makes it easy to match imported rhythmic sound.
As in the classic analogue consoles of previous years, DP10 VCA faders can control any number of tracks, precisely maintaining their relative volume. Mix automation can be applied to VCA, and sub-fader automation is supported and scaled everywhere. The DP10 also includes a 5 GB library consisting of several samples, acoustic instruments, synthesizers, loops and phrases. This versatile collection of instruments covers music genres, eras, geographic regions and cultural styles.

New in Version :

Allow studio configurations of up to 1024 stereo busses.
Allow adding up to 1024 bundles in one go.
Improved efficiency for projects using Quicktime movies as Quicktime-related threads are terminated for inactive Chunks.
Improved click stability in Countoff and Countoff-Wait modes.
Added sorting code to work around the fact that macOS High Sierra is no longer guaranteed to sort files and folders in alphabetical order.
File import now does a case-insensitive check of file extensions when deciding whether the type is allowable.
Added option to reveal Chunks in the Chunks window after importing via the “Import” and “Load” menus.
Fixed a bug preventing track folder hierarchies from being preserved when dragging a sequence from the chunks window into the tracks overview or sequence editor.
Fixed a bug where opening successive effects windows could leave the effect GUIs offset from the parent window.
Fixed a bug that intermittently prevented plugin bypass UI elements (bypass button in plugin GUI, italicized name in insert strip, etc) from reflecting the true state of the plug-in.
Fixed a bug preventing ProVerb to correctly display the state of the bypass button.
Movie audio is now silent when its output is set to “none”.
Fixed a bug where the submenus to send movie audio output to new bundles or new aux tracks would not appear.
Set Movie Start Time can now be assigned to a command.
Fixed a bug that would cause exported plug-in MIDI outputs to be duplicated.

Gave up on this….. keep getting 0x800b0101 errors, quits during install. I thought maybe compatibility issue, set for XP service pack 3, all it did was give a NEW ERROR 0x80070001

Heads-up…….. if you get certificate errors as I described above (or below), before attempting install, set your system clock to a date prior to September 30, 2019. Upon successful install, set your time back to present….. it works, but Digital Performer is an animal very different to Cubase and Cakewalk DAWS; the help files and manuals included are really well done.
