Thanks for the ear candy…… πŸ™‚ The foundations of this genre are actually a mathematical system unto itself, invented centuries ago in Nigeria with the credit to the Yoruba nation, then spreading to Ghana and beyond with each cultures’ contributions and stylistic revisions. I was, in early 2000’s, the chairman of entertainment for a regional annual festival, hiring 18 bands and doing so with cultural unity in mind, until festival upper eschelon chased me off, citing “boogie music” as the offending motives. They evidently were quite negatively affected by Latin jazz, salsa, and even the 88-piece gospel choir that drew thousands across the hundred acres to the main stage…… even the COPS were diggin’ it. The core energy of Afro-Latin music is a trance-inducing force of absolutely positive effect—the entire reason it was created eons ago.
    Be well, all.
