Description : Soave Sordino Strings is the result of mixed sampling of string machines based on samples processed by equalizers and various effects. The strings sections are a typical orchestral configuration.
The first violins on the left and, therefore, their sound will be located on the left in the stereo field, and so on, with double bass in the far right place.
The instrument has five sections (1st violin, 2nd violin, violas, cello, double bass), each of which has its own volume controls.
Soave’s graphical user interface is really simple: on the left, the master volume (boost), the Attack knob on the right, and the Transient button under the Violas section to bypass the slow attack and create a fake legato when playing a tune.
Soave comes with one articulation known as “Con Sordino”, so the tool is very useful for very slow tempos, from Largo to Adagio.
Another control called “Altered” implements a randomized pitch of notes and reproduces them in some slow “chaotic” way. This is very useful for stochastic composition styles.
