This package will install on your computer 3 well-known software synthesizers from EDIROL, namely: Hyper Canvas, Super Quartet and HQ Orchestral. Unfortunately, these wonderful plugins are no longer supported, are not developed, x64 and especially VST3 versions have not been released. Many musicians and arrangers still use these virtual synthesizers, especially the orchestral plug-in, because by modern standards they are very undemanding to hardware and allow you to quickly make some sketches even on weak machines and laptops.
In principle, the existing popular versions are installed quite quickly and easily, and it’s not difficult to bridge x86 VST plugins to x64 hosts; for this you can use the well-proven jBridger program. However, noinstall assemblies are more preferable and have recently become very popular. So the idea came up to create a symlink package, which would contain not only x86 VST versions of these synthesizers (which now, when all OSes and hotspots are 64-bit, are practically useless), but also Standalone, created through SAVIHost, and most importantly, bridged through jBridger x64 version.
The installation will be carried out according to the Symlink principle, almost in one or two clicks. To do this, you need to download this package, unpack it in any place convenient for you (where your other smilink packages are located), and run the symlink installers. If for some reason you don’t like the programs, or you want to move them to another location, you must first uninstall them using the appropriate batch files.
Noinstall the version of jBridger, you don’t have to install it if you already have a normally installed Standalone version. The installer script is written so that the jBridger noinstaller cannot damage the installed version you already have, but if you delete the noinstall version through the script, it will also delete your normally installed version. So, be careful!
If you need the x64 version, then you need to install jBridger first in the traditional way, then install the EDIROL noinstall, bridge the x86 files manually, or install my jBridger noinstall package, and then install the EDIROL noinstall.
Now I’ll explain in a little detail what the installers themselves do.
First of all, they check whether the script is launched with admin rights; if not, then using the VB script they get admin rights for themselves so that further commands can be executed without problems. Next, the bitness of your operating system is checked in order to install symlinks correctly. It also asks for the correct path to your desktop to place shortcuts for jBridger and for the three synthesizers. After this, the actual creation of symlinks takes place and the corresponding data is entered into the register. Standalone versions created through SAVIHost are intended for testing the operation of plugins, and simply for playing music without launching a heavy main host program. The links themselves can be moved anywhere, or deleted altogether if you don’t need them.
The peculiarity of this assembly is that for x86 systems, symlinks are created in the “Program Files” directory (full path “C:\Program Files\VSTPlugins\Edirol”), and this is where the installation ends. For x64 systems it’s a little more complicated. Symlinks to the plugins themselves are created in “C\Program Files (x86)\VSTPlugins\Edirol”, and in the directory “C:\Program Files\VSTPlugins\Edirol” there are symlinks to the bridged files. They will be visible to your host, but if jBridger is not installed, then the host will not be able to run these plugins. So install jBridger first!
Attention! The first time you start your host after installing noinstall jBridger, the system will require you to increase the privileges for bridged instances to the admin level. You can skip these warnings by clicking on OK, jBridger itself will obtain the necessary privileges, but you can immediately after installing the symlinks by first looking in the directory “C:\Program Files\JBridge” to raise the rights for the following files: “jBridger.exe”, “auxhost64.exe” – to do this, right-click on these files, go to “Properties” -> “Compatibility” -> check the box next to “Run this program as an administrator”. I deliberately did not include assigning these rights to these files through a script, because this does not work in some configurations, and antivirus programs do not like such scripts.

We download the distribution, copy the files to any convenient place where you usually have the uninstall assemblies. Unpack the archive file Edirol.exe
Installation procedure for x86 systems:
1. Run the file “Installer Edirol x86x64.cmd” and wait for the command “Press any key to continue.” And that’s it, the plugins are installed.
Installation procedure for x64 systems:
1. If you do not need x64 bridge versions, or you already have jBridger installed, go straight to the second step, if not, then first run the jBridger uninstall package, namely the command file “Installer jBridger x64.cmd”.
2. Run the file “Installer Edirol x86x64.cmd”.

1. If you installed it from our package and use it not only for Edirol, but also to bridge other x86 packages, then you can skip this point.
