Artists such as Mac DeMarco, Khruangbin, and the Unknown Mortal Orchestra have defined and taken the genre to the mainstream, creating a soundtrack for scenes of surfing, skateboarding, and other once-underground subcultures.
Arthouse Acoustics went even further with this set of sounds, writing original compositions, recording live guitars, bass, vintage keyboards and vocals. They then experimented with creative processing at their studio in Brighton, UK.
These acoustic and analog recordings have been sliced, processed and re-sampled to offer truly unique textures, layers and melodic inspiration.
