Description : This virtual instrument is an almost exact copy of the electronic organ Farfisa Compact Deluxe, which appeared on the music market in the mid-60s of last century. Unlike electromechanical bodies, this instrument was quite compact, and therefore was convenient for stage and tour use. Some elements from the original Compact Duo organ are added to the digital model.
The two lower octaves of the keyboard are inverted color and can be allocated in a separate manual to reproduce bass sounds. Under the bass can be identified as one and two extreme octaves, leaving the upper manual, respectively, four or three octaves. Both bass and ordinary parts have independent control of key percussion. The bass register has its own settings for “sharpness” and duration of sounds, as well as volume control.
Additive sound formation of the upper manual (or the entire keyboard, if you do not select the bass section) is connected to the registers, for which the panel has groups of white two-position switches. They control not only pitch, but also built-in filters. For example, the “8 oboe” register is distinguished by a timbre from the “8 flute” register. Nearby there is a group of switches of green color, with which you can arrange an alternative sound formation (the sounds of the white section are switched off at the same time). In this mode, in particular, the filtering filters are set up differently, and the voices are somewhat different.
To enhance the timbre, you can use the effects of tremolo and vibrato, as well as the reverb.
The Farfisa V model adds some additional features that were not in the prototypes. Some of them are available on a separate, hidden control panel, which is hidden under the lid. To “raise” it, you need to press the button with a double arrow in the upper right corner of the working window (Figure 34). This panel provides access to fine-tuning the height of each note. The tool has 12 independent master oscillators with dividers, which allows you to freely experiment with its system.
