Air Music Technology originally created Boom as part of the plug-in Creative Collection tools included in Avid ™ Pro Tools ™. As Pro Tools grew in popularity, more and more musicians and producers relied on the incredible sound power of this amazing drum machine. Boom continued to develop and is now available to all who require instant creative results.
Boom has a streamlined modern interface that pays homage to the most popular vintage drum machines of the past. Boom has been used in many famous projects since its launch, ranging from hit albums, feature films and radio projects. This is one of the most popular plug-ins Pro Tools.
Boom includes a diverse collection of 10 classic electronic sets, offering variations of the classic 808 and 909, more aggressive sets of Dance and Urban-style and a powerful retro set. Each of them was created with great attention to detail and will have a tangible sound impact.
Each set contains 10 different drums and you can adjust the pan, volume and dickey of each drum in the kit. Each drum channel also contains a special regulator to perform a sound setting specific to a particular drum. This feature provides almost unlimited possibilities thanks to a user-friendly interface.
You can mix and match drums from different sets to create your own, and drum sounds can be played individually.
For instant inspiration, more than 50 presets are included in the cover of modern classical electronic / urban musical genres. Boom also has a built-in sequencer that allows you to create and run your own templates that you can save and load as presets. You can select different patterns using the keys at the bottom of the interface when you are in Pattern Selection mode.
The matrix display in the upper left corner allows you to program a pattern, but you can also use the keys at the bottom. You will find such nice touches as the ability to copy one template to another, as well as some simple controls to adjust how the pattern is played back in your host: normal, double, half, or triplet time.
