Description:
Acrobat Pro is the completely updated desktop version of the world’s best PDF solution. The solution includes a mobile app that allows you to sign and send PDF files and fill out forms from any device. With Document Cloud services, you can create, export, edit, and track PDF files by opening them in any web browser. You will always have the latest versions of your files at your fingertips, regardless of which device you are using.
Installation:
Run “setup.exe” and uncheck the box labeled “Install Adobe Genuine Service (AGS)” (this option will not appear if Adobe Acrobat was previously installed).
· Select the desired settings if necessary.
· Wait for the installation to finish; do NOT launch the program; click “Finish”.
Run the update file “AcrobatDCx64Upd2600221869.msp” and click “Update”. When the installation completes, click “Finish”; do NOT launch the program!
Run “FilesReplaceX64.exe” from the “Registration” folder; you should see the message: “File replacement complete. The files have been replaced.” – click OK. (This replaces the files Acrobat.dll, acrodistdll.dll, and acrotray.exe with the registered versions.)
Hosts file blocking:
Run “BlockHosts.exe” from the “Registration” folder (this adds the necessary entries to the hosts file). Do not run “BlockHosts.exe” if you have already applied hosts blocking for Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.
· To remove hosts blocking: delete the “Adobe Acrobat Pro DC” lines in the hosts file (access the file via the “.etc” shortcut).
Block via Firewall only if necessary.
Firewall blocking:
Run “BlockFirewall.exe” from the “Registration” folder; this file blocks network access for Adobe Acrobat Pro DC executable files. You should see the message: “Adobe Acrobat Pro DC Firewall is blocked.”
Unblock Firewall:
Run “UnblockFirewall.exe” from the “Registration” folder; this file restores network access for Adobe Acrobat Pro DC executable files. You should see the message: “Adobe Acrobat Pro DC Firewall Unblocked.”
