including emulation of rare devices from the late 1960s to the present day.
It pays tribute to the genius of Bill Putnam, one of the greatest audio engineers in history and a true pioneer in the pro audio industry.

Nickel Comp
The centerpiece of this set is the Nickel Comp plugin (or compressor), which accurately emulates the behavior of two different “revisions” (H – LN) of one of the most recognizable compressors of all time. The original unit, a rare 1960s-70s piece of equipment made in the USA, has become a staple in virtually every major recording studio around the world and is one of the most commonly used pieces of equipment in the entire pro audio industry.
It has been used to create the sound of countless recordings by a wide variety of artists – from Guns ‘n’ Roses to Bruce Springsteen, from The Killers to Joe Cocker and many others. The Nickel Comp plugin accurately recreated the sound of the original compressor in the digital realm.
Nickel EQs
In addition to Nickel Comp, this set includes 2 equalizers:
Stereo parametric equalizer with 4 fully parametric bands, plus HP and LP filters for each channel.
A two-mono equalizer based on a stereo equalizer.
Each of the two channels includes bass, mid, mid and high pass sections – each with variable frequency, cutoff/gain and passband controls – as well as low and high pass filters.
Nickel Pre
The Nickel Pre plug-in accurately emulates all 8 discrete channels of a premium mic and line preamp equipped with custom input stage transformers. It was the first analog product to break away from its manufacturer’s vintage roots, offering a modernized, ultra-high-precision instrument designed to provide maximum sonic versatility while maintaining the warm euphony for which the company was famous.
The plugin is divided into banks that contain a total of 20 different preamp emulations, including equalizers and compressors; fixed frequency high pass filter (100 Hz, 6 dB/octave); phase reverse button; Oversampling buttons allow you to change the oversampling frequency (8x or 16x) to improve audio processing quality.

All files were taken from the Acustica Audio release from R2R and repackaged as an installer to facilitate installation/removal and save hard drive space.
