Format: KONTAKT
Quality: 24 bit 44.1 kHz stereo

Description: The package includes three different instrument tones: Tenor Trombone, Valve Trombone and Bass Trombone. The main material of the instruments consists of 741 MB of samples, performed chromatically by a professional trombonist, covering almost the entire range of the instrument. All samples are not looped. The minimum sample duration is 8 seconds. The Trombone engine is structured according to an adaptive model based on the fingerprint of the real instrument. The main goal of the model is to minimize the differences between “live” phrases played on a real instrument and the sound of a virtual instrument.

What’s new in Trombone 3?

Trombone 3 includes several interesting features:
New algorithm for early reflections. The new ER algorithm uses information about the direction of a multi-microphone in a quiet room recording environment to convey a full, rich timbre, including its directional pattern, and add “taste” to the virtual space.

Virtual Soundstage. This new feature allows precise positioning of instruments in “dimensionally-free” virtual space using early reflections, pre-delay, complex panning, and distance algorithms perceived even in real time. This gives you the freedom to add a suitable acoustic environment without creating multiple space issues. This can be done within a single Kontakt Player, which provides high quality reverb convolution.

Real time Timbral Shaping. This revolutionary new feature adds virtually endless timbral diversity to individual instruments, operating from the amplitude of individual harmonics, or groups of harmonics, even in real time. This is not a graphic equalizer. The variable segments are not tied to specific frequencies, but to the first 10 harmonics of the note being played. As a consequence, the affected frequencies change according to the selected area. So, for example, adding compartment #1 will raise the fundamental frequency (first harmonic) of each note sounded, making the sound rounder. The growth of compartments #3, #4, #5 will increase the intensity of the corresponding harmonics making the sound more “nasal”, etc.

Microtuning. This completely new feature meets the requirements of musicians using non-tempered tunings, so necessary for example in the music of the Middle East and Asia.
Expression Mapping. The user has the opportunity to independently draw changes in the CC response, which allows better control over the dynamics. Especially with input devices such as breath and wind controllers.

Breathy Attacks. Just play it very low and low, and you’ll get a very realistic throaty noise that precedes the actual trombone sound.
“For Unison Ensemble” IR. The specially designed impulse response significantly reduces phasing problems that can arise when multiple instruments are controlled from the same MIDI track (i.e. in unison).

Unison Ensemble Multi. Particular attention was paid to creating realistic ensembles of solo instruments. Both when used on separate MIDI tracks, and when you play in unison on the same MIDI track. An advanced ensemble maker has been designed to influence temporal, dynamic and static pitch bend, phase, pitchbend, velocity, portamento time response so that if an instrument is played from the same MIDI track, each instrument will sound as if another musician is playing. The ready-to-play Multi features three specially designed trombones, an ensemble maker and matching reverb for unison playing. Included with the tool.
