Description: 8Dio Studio Steel Drum is an extreme deep sampling steel drum.
The instrument consists of over 55,000 samples, 5 real vintage mic positions, 2 world class reverbs (Bricasti & TC6000). 8Dio Studio Steel Drum was specially designed for 8Dio. We wanted the instrument to cover all ranges from low to high, but put them in a single steel drum. We tried the tool with several types of hammers (e.g. beaters, felt hammer, brushes, nails, rattles, effects, etc.) Up to 10 speed layers and 10 reps. We recorded the instrument with four vintage mics including Neumann, Neve, Coles, Royers. And also a mixed microphone is included, which is loaded as the default setting. Everything was meticulously recorded and processed at 24 bit / 96k in our UK studio through the historic Neve custom desk, and then carefully scaled down to 48k for easy streaming. The main content was obtained using various types of hammers, from rubber mallets and felt hammers to hands and arms. In addition, we tried prepared and percussive methods. All with multiple dynamics and repetitions to allow for maximum realism. In addition to all this, the library gives you complete control over the dynamic response and sound quality, so that the perfect sound can be typed just for you. We’ve included full control over resonance, room tone, keyboard response, and transition shape.
