Description : Virtual effect-processor for the drum tracks.
Drums … is the most important part of your mix, which can make or spoil a track. For decades, developers have used various combinations of compressors, preamps, equalizers and saturators to distinguish different sound styles. Loc-Ness is not just a compressor or an equalizer – it’s a mysterious plug-in that contains all the necessary controls and sound colors for the drums to your workstation.
This plug-in is designed for processing individual percussion elements and the entire tympanic bus and consists of several modules:
CRUST : (Saturation) / Input gain:
Increase the saturation level (color tone) with this control. Select the type of saturation modes 1 to 4.
SMASH : (limiter) / gain factor of the input:
Hardly limit the signal, choosing more of this effect. The signal comes from Crust in Smash in a consistent manner. This processing resembles the 1176 “All Buttons In” compressor mode “smash”, but smoother.
FILTERS + MIX + TRIM : low and high frequency filters allow you to separate the frequencies that you want to process, and leave the rest of the signal untouched. Crust & smash will only work in this particular range. Individual WET & DRY controls allow you to precisely mix processed and unprocessed signals. The phase button inverts the phase between such signals. Loosen the master mix balance of the processed and raw signal using TRIM.
