Description: Taking advantage of bedroom pop and making the most of what you have, multi-instrumentalist and sound engineer Ben Bromley directed his inner 1990s childhood. He sampled a Yamaha PSS synthesizer from the late 1980s, which used the Yamaha YM3812 chip (the first chip to make FM synthesis available to the general public) and built Serum presets with its wave tables.
From this starting point, the package is based on a 20-year history of homebrew music from mid-90s hip-hop and pop to millennial indie and vaporwave. It includes a carefully crafted set of homemade drum samples and a selection from his dusty old hard drive. The results offer everything you want from synthwave, indie rock, lo-fi, and pop. Inspired by songs such as Tycho, Teendaze, My Bloody Valentine, Cocteau Twins, and Mac Demarco, these sounds evoke nostalgia yet offer a unique perspective in a contemporary style.
