Description: Modal Jazz & Post Bop, created by producers from New York half.cool, is a set of samples dedicated to the era of Ornette Coleman, Don Cherry and Albert Euler. The package includes a wide range of saxophone samples showcasing smooth horn stacks and post-bop waves, as well as chromatic spacing and harmonies appropriate to the school of free jazz. In addition, you’ll find expressive drum loops, an unstable and mind-blowing guitar, and warm, shiny rhodes all provide a sizable collection of sounds from that era.
This package was recorded live in Bristol, Tennessee at Classic Recording with the assistance of engineer Mike Stevenson. Together, the team was able to capture and recreate the sounds of the most unique and interesting period in jazz history. In addition to the half.cool team, famous New York jazz musicians Walter Stinson, Drew Vandewinkel, Keenin Omari and Juno Arreglado play in Modal Jazz & Post Bop.
