Adobe Photoshop 32-bit or 64-bit (CS4-CC2019).
A good scanner with an optical resolution of at least 600-1200 dpi is required. Faxes and multifunction devices generally do not provide good enough scan quality at 600 dpi and above.
Description: The Descreen filter removes a bitmap from scanned print images. This prevents moiré patterns when outputting such images to raster devices such as a display, printer, or phototypesetter.
Main functions:
Raster removal with minimal loss of image sharpness.
Reduced rosette moiré (present in color prints).
Reduce noise due to paper irregularities. Noise reduction can be performed not only in printed, but also in any other images. In particular, you can reduce the graininess of photos.
Installation :
Copy to the Photoshop plugins folder with the option you want to install.
It will say “Demo” in the About window but won’t ask for activation and will happily open 3000px images.
A special note regarding “Descreen Professional (64 bit) – Special HomePro Frankenstein Mod”: if for some reason your descreen results are unsatisfactory for images larger than 2000 pixels with a barely noticeable effect, try instead a special version that combines “Home » version in «Pro» but with great results.
