Knoll Light Factory is one of the components of the Red Giant Effects Suite.
After the release of Effects Suite 11.1.6 in 2015, the Knoll brothers stopped supporting the installation of the plugin in Photoshop older than CC 2015,
and although in the official releases for new distributions, this option was indicated, but in fact, the builds contained only After Effects / Premiere Pro sections.
Run the file “Effects Suite 11.1.13.exe”.
Click “Next”
Select the desired plugins.

We launch Adobe After Effects and look at the installed plugins in the Effect > RG Effects Suite directory.

The Effects Suite plugin is packed in the “Effects Suite 11.1.13 MacOS.rar” archive due to the rather long paths
and when copying from one directory to another, a part is not copied and may be lost.
And most importantly, it was not possible to create a torrent file without archiving this plugin for MacOS.
I had to archive it.
If your installer does not accept the medicine during installation, install the plugin in demo mode.
Then enter the serial number again in Photoshop.
After installing the plugin, look for the “PSCS5PLUGINPATH64BIT” folder on all logical disks of Your computer.
In the “PSCS5PLUGINPATH64BIT” folder, copy the “Knoll Software” folder to the” Plug-ins ” folder of the Photoshop.
If saving the file doesn’t work, change the region to English in the system settings.

We install according to the instructions.
After installation, the folder “PSCS5PLUGINPATH64BIT” will appear on the disk on which the installation file was launched.
In the “PSCS5PLUGINPATH64BIT” folder, copy the “Knoll Software” folder to the “Plug-ins” folder in Photoshop.
On the desktop, right-click on the Photoshop shortcut and select File Location.
Find the “Plug-ins” folder and drag the “Knoll Software” folder into it.
On drive C, find the folder C:\ProgramData\Documents\Knoll Software in it presets.
Move “Knoll Software” folder to c:\Users\Public\Documents\
Launch Photoshop, load the image, go to the filters, select the plugin and say “Yes”.

We install according to the instructions.
After installation, the folder “PSCS5PLUGINPATH64BIT” will appear on the disk on which the installation file was launched.
(after a successful launch, this folder can be deleted), I copied the “Knoll Software” folder from it and pasted it into
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2017\Plug-ins.
From C:\ProgramData\Documents (it is important that hidden folders and files are displayed in Windows) cut the Knoll Software folder and paste it into
C:\Users\Public\Documents (if Windows is Russian – C:\Users\Public\Public Documents)

If there are no presets in the program:
On Windows 7, presets are placed in C:\Users\Public\Documents\Knoll Software\Knoll Light Factory\Custom Lenses.
In XP, the plugin throws presets into the “Documents” folder (C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents), which it creates itself,
but when using the plugin, these presets are not visible, because in Russian Windows there is no “Documents” folder – there is a “Documents” folder.
In order for the plugin to see its own presets, you need to manually transfer the “Knoll Software” folder (with all subfolders) from “Documents” to “Documents”.

If it is impossible to install the Knoll Light Factory 3.2 plug-in for Photoshop itself, there is an archive “Custom Lenses.rar” in the torrent distribution.
These are 129 Knoll Light Factory 3.2 Effects for Photoshop to unzip and copy to
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Knoll Software\Knoll Light Factory\Custom Lenses.
If any of these folders do not exist, create them.
Editing the “hosts” file:
Open C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
