Description : SideMinder is a dynamic stereo width amplifier that can increase the width of a stereo track, bus and / or master mix WITHOUT the risk of polarity reversal. SideMinder “listens” to stereo material using proactive FIR-correlation detectors and dynamically narrows the stereo image exactly when / when a negative correlation begins to occur.
Since stereo width narrows only when a general increase in stereo width is needed, MONO COMPATIBILITY can be applied. This effect cannot be achieved using typical mid / side compression methods, and SideMinder does not change the overall signal dynamics (SideMinder is a “differential limiter”, not a dynamic range limiter).
