Description: Teex β monster FM synthesis β TX81Z
Explore the sound pack that brings 1987 straight to your desktop! Like the legendary DX7, the TX81Z was a powerful and incredibly influential instrument in its day. Now Puremagnetik has taken the inner workings of this synthesizer, extracted some of the best sounds and wrapped them up with over 30 Kontakt-optimized patches.
Used by Squarepusher, Jimmy Edgar, Future Sound of London and more, the TX81Zβs iconic sound spans decades and is as relevant today as it was when it began.
The TX81Z was an FM synthesizer from Yamaha that was housed in a compact single-rail module. It has excellent FM type sounds similar to the DX-21 and DX-27.
The original TX81Z has the ability to use waveforms other than a simple sine wave. There are eight voices that can be split, layered and reconfigured. There are also built-in pseudo-effects, including delay and reverb, which Puremagnetik faithfully emulates in the software package. And just like the original, Teex works great as a TX81Z virtual sound module for live performances or studio projects.
