Description : Native Instruments has unveiled the latest addition to its Discovery series, the Kontakt line of instruments, which “deepens” into various locations around the world. Discovery Series – Cuba is dedicated to Havana, with its melodic and rhythmic features of rumba, salsa and merengue.
Discovery Series – Cuba offers a selection of carefully sampled instruments organized into melodic and percussive ensembles. Eight melodic and nine percussive ensembles are organized into authentic combinations of instruments that are compiled to reflect the varied styles of Cuba’s musical landscape, and are suitable for both classical projects and contemporary pop and dance performances.
Cuba offers a library of rhythm patterns and harmonic progressions that are easily customizable thanks to the powerful built-in sequencer. To make the sound warmer, more human, you can use the Groove and Feel knobs. Users can also adjust instrument-level micro-timings for an extra level of rhythmic nuance. The Intensity knob controls the overall speed of the performance, and 6/8 or 4/4 timings can be selected depending on the production style.
There is also a mixer section, including Solid EQ, reverb, compressor and more.
